Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith, prove your own selves.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 Corinthians 13:5

Every person can examine whether he or she is saved by the words of Isaiah 55 lines 7 through 9 with Psalm 1 lines 1 through 6.  There are only two kinds of people, the wicked and the saved.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. Isaiah 55:8
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

Proverbs 4:4  He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.  If ye love me, keep my commandments.  John 14:15

Almost all of the assemblies of the mockers profess the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, while they worship Jesus in vain singing the words of the flesh of men which shall not profit.

They forsake the commandments of the Lord which are the lively oracles of the thoughts of the Lord’s heart.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  John 6:63

Take the time to retain all these lines in your hearts.  Put music and melody to these words; and like the a, b, c’s which when put to a peculiar melody, will be nearly impossible to forget the incorruptible seed which are the words the Lord pronounced with his lips and preserved for ever so that all can know with certainty the words of truth.

Retain these scripture lines in your hearts which is an acceptable work surely to bear  fruit and discernment to have compassion on some and others save with fear pulling them out of the fire:

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:  1 Peter 3:15
