ISAIAH 30 lines 1 through 3

THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET ISAIAH.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 30:1-3

CHAPTER 30
WOE to the rebellious children, saith the
LORD, that take counsel, but not of me;
and that cover with a covering, but not of
my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and
have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen
themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and
to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh
be your shame, and the trust in the shadow
of Egypt your confusion.

JEREMIAH 23 lines 29 through 31

THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET JEREMIAH.

JEREMIAH CHAPTER 23:29-31

29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the
LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh
the rock in pieces?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the
prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my
words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith
the LORD, that use their tongues, and say,
He saith.

REVELATION 22 lines 18,19

THE REVELATION OF ST. JOHN THE DIVINE.

REVELATION CHAPTER 22:18,19

18 For I testify unto every man that
heareth the words of the prophecy of this
book, If any man shall add unto these
things, God shall add unto him the plagues
that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from
the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the
book of life, and out of the holy city, and
from the things which are written in this
book.

JEREMIAH 23:28-32

THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET JEREMIAH.

JEREMIAH CHAPTER 23 LINES 28-32

28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him
tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let
him speak my word faithfully. What is the
chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.
29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the
LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh
the rock in pieces?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the
prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my
words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith
the LORD, that use their tongues, and say,
He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that
prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD,
and do tell them, and cause my people to
err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet
I sent them not, nor commanded them:
therefore they shall not profit this people
at all, saith the LORD.

Let the wicked forsake his way

THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET ISAIAH.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 55:7-9

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he
will abundantly pardon.
8 ¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

ISAIAH 55 LINES 6 through 9

THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET ISAIAH.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 55:

6 ¶ Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he
will abundantly pardon.
8 ¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

ISAIAH 55 LINES 1 through 3

THE BOOK OF THE PROPHET ISAIAH.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 55 LINES 1-3

CHAPTER 55
HO, every one that thirsteth, come ye to
the waters, and he that hath no money;
come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy
wine and milk without money and without
price.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that
which is not bread? and your labour for
that which satisfieth not? hearken
diligently unto me, and eat ye that which
is good, and let your soul delight itself in
fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me:
hear, and your soul shall live; and I will
make an everlasting covenant with you,
even the sure mercies of David.

PSALM CHAPTER ONE

THE BOOK OF PSALMS.

PSALM 1
BLESSED is the man that walketh not in
the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in
the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat
of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in his law doth he meditate day and
night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the
rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit
in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the
chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in
the judgment, nor sinners in the
congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the
righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall
perish.
