1  NOW the serpent was more subtil than
any beast of the field which the LORD God
had made. And he said unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of
every tree of the garden?

    things in counsels and knowledge,
    21 That I might make thee know the
    certainty of the words of truth; that thou
    mightest answer the words of truth to
    them that send unto thee?

    Eve did add unto the commandments of the Lord (the Lord never said: Neither shall ye touch it), she did lean unto her own understanding, and she put her trust in the father of lies.

    Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the
    midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye
    shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it,
    lest ye die.
    4 And the serpent said unto the woman,
    Ye shall not surely die:

    Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I
    command you, neither shall ye diminish
    ought from it, that ye may keep the
    commandments of the LORD your God
    which I command you.

    Proverbs 3:5 ¶ Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
    and lean not unto thine own
    6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he
    shall direct thy paths.
    7 ¶ Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the
    LORD, and depart from evil.

    shield unto them that put their trust in him.
    6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he
    reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

    John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the
    lusts of your father ye will do. He was a
    murderer from the beginning, and abode
    not in the truth, because there is no truth
    in him. When he speaketh a lie, he
    speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and
    the father of it.
    45 And because I tell you the truth, ye
    believe me not.
